Panchayat President Workshop
A Report - 13th Oct, 2009
On 13th Oct 09, UNICEF and AID INDIA jointly organized Panchayat President Workshop in Krishnagiri. Dr.V.K. Shanmugam, Krishnagiri District Collector, Mr.Thomas George, UNICEF, Mr.Ganesha Moorthy, Mr.Balaji Sampath, AIDINDIA presided over the event. The objective of the event was to sensitize the Panchayat heads, to review and share the progress made in the districts since the launch of Children Panchayat program. Around 60 Panchayat Presidents participated in the event.
As a token of appreciation for the efforts taken by the Panchayat heads in fulfilling the needs of the children a momento was given to all the Panchayat Presidents by the District Collector Dr.V.K.Shanmugam. One Panchayat president from each block represented and collected the momento from the Collector. Collector also presented an award to the AID INDIA, Krishnagiri team appreciating the effort.
